Kendall Francis Schmidt (born on November 2, 1990) is an American actor, singer-songwriter. He is best know for playing Kendall Knight in Big Time Rush and has played small roles on several TV shows such as ER, Without a Trace, Phil of the Future, Ghost Whisperer and Frasier
EARLY LIFE
Schmidt was born in Wichita, Kansas to Kent and Kathy Schmidt and raised in Andover, Kansan. He is the youngest of three boys. His two older brothers are Kevin Schmidt, and actor, and Kenneth, an entertainment lawyer. Schmidt began acting because his brother wanted to act. His family moved to California, and Schmidt began acting at the young age of 10 and started singing at the age of three
Career

Schmidt began his career at the age 5, appearing in a Chex television commercial. When he was 9years old, he was one of two young actors who were hired to be Haley jowl Osment's stand-in and body double (they shared the same agent) in the Stephen Spielberg film, A.I Artificial Intelligence. Schmidt also appeared in Ghost Whisperer, Phil of the Future, ER and Frasier. In 2009, Schmidt was cast as the fourth and final co-lead of the TV show Big Time Rush. Schmidt portrays Kendall Knight, the calm and relaxed leader of Big Time Rush

In '09, as a part of the band Big Time Rush, Schmidt signed a recording contract with Columbia Records. Big Time Rush consist of Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena, Jr. and Logan Henderson. Schmidt co-wrote the song "Oh Yeah" off of Big Time Rush's debut album, B.T.R. On their second album, Elevate, Schmidt wrote the songs "Cover Girl" and "You're Not Alone", in addition to co-writing three other tracks on the album.
Schmidt is in a side band outside of Big Time Rush called Heffron Drive, with Big Time Rush guitarist and his best friend, Dustin Belt. The band formed prior to Schmidt's involvement with Big Time Rush, name after the street on which the two met. They currently have five songs on their MySpace page (Quite Please, Time Wasting, Love Letter, Better Get To Movin' and Stand Forever). They do not have a record released, and are on current hiatus until time permits
He enjoys pulling pranks and teasing the other members . His nicknames are Big Man , Kendizzle and K-Dog . Of course , his trend mark are wearing a fedora of a beanie . Kendall's favorite color is green . His favorite soda is Coke . Pizza is his choice . As far as he go his favorite to wear Vans
